 | When you become a part of Shawnigan, Shawnigan becomes a part of you. We take these words seriously. Every man and woman who has experienced a Shawnigan education knows the impact that the years spent on campus has on the rest of their lives. Friendships forged on campus last lifetimes, and the morals imbued and character built through interactions with staff and other adults endure long after graduation.
It is the hope of everyone at Shawnigan that all of our graduates will take the time to be in regular touch. There are so many opportunities to keep up with the exciting goings-on in our community, from city events and reunions, to our annual Alumni Golf Classic, to the various social media platforms we utilize to spread our message.

  The Report Card Our twice annual magazine updates you on events and initiatives at the School and elsewhere. One of the most popular sections is the alumni updates – but we need your help. Please send news of your adventures, career, births marriages, and so on. |

 Facebook There are two separate Shawnigan communities on Facebook. The Shawnigan Facebook page is our official page for all supporters of Shawnigan. On this page you’ll find information about current events and happenings intended for all members of the Shawnigan family. The Shawnigan Alumni Facebook group, is an invite-only group for graduates of the School, and is a great way to reconnect and network. Invitations and RSVPs to all Shawnigan events for alumni are located and handled conveniently through the alumni group. Many classes have also set up their own Facebook groups as a rallying point for reunions and more. |

 Livestream Ever wondered what Chapel is like these days? Wonder no more! Our new Livestream channel brings Shawnigan into your living room live and in high definition. Chapel is streamed live on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:10am, and on Saturdays at 11:15am. Through this service, we also hope to be able to bring other important events to our extended community, including our annual Closing Day ceremonies. |

Director of Alumni Relations Mr. Roland BorsatoGrad Year: 1972 Roland Borsato '72 (Ripley's) has worked as the Director of Alumni Relations in the Advancement Office of Shawnigan Lake School for four years. As an alumnus of the School, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his position and the community as a whole. Roland is passionate about Shawnigan and feels he is the person he is today because of how Shawnigan transformed him.
Roland has had much success in his career, having been a vice-president of two major automotive repair companies, a teacher at the University of the Fraser Valley in construction practices, as well as being an accomplished blues musician and chef. He is especially proud of his marriage to Louise for 30 years, and their three daughters: Maria, a teacher; Andrea, a commercial pilot; and Kate, a Psychology Counsellor.
Roland remembers many amazing things from his years spent at Shawnigan as a student but patricular highlights include rowing at Henley, and, following Prince Philip's visit to the School, receiving a personal invite for his rowing crew to visit Buckingham Palace. |
