 Coming soon to your mailbox! Are you from the class of '39, '49, '59, '69, 79, '84, '89, '94 and '99? If so, your "Save the Date" postcard should be in your mailbox soon. Founder's Day/Reunion Weekend is in the planning stages and we want you to be there! In addition to our annual reunions this coming October we are also implementing the "Gold Club" . The Gold Club is a special group within the SLS Alumni that acknowledges and honours our Alumni reaching the 50th anniversary of their graduating class. The Gold Club reinforces the permanency of the School and its connection to Shawnigan’s rich history. These attributes are a source of pride that should be shared with our entire Shawnigan Family. In addition to providing an opportunity for senior Alumni to reunite, the Gold Club showcases the lifelong values and friendships students typically develop while at Shawnigan. Prospective parents and new students alike recognise the Shawnigan Lake School Alumni as an important life-long affiliation. The ‘Right of Passage’ to the Gold Club is an annual event, scheduled to coincide with the Founders Day / Alumni Weekend. Gold Club members are encouraged to attend induction ceremonies held annually during the Founder’s Day / Alumni Weekend. The First Annual Gold Club Induction Ceremony is open to all Shawnigan Alumni who attended classes between 1919 and 1959. The ceremony will be held during the Founders Day / Alumni Weekend, October 17, 2009. Eligibility: SLS and Strathcona students Grads and non-grads The Gold Club Ceremony is an exciting opportunity to connect the ‘Then and Now’ of Shawnigan……We look forward seeing you at the School!
