Rhod Samuel Steps Down

 Recent news from Ripley's House....

Dear Parents & Alumni, After a great deal of thought and soul-searching and, in so many ways, with regret, I have to tell you that I shall be stepping down as House Director of Ripley´s at the end of this School Year. I have loved every day of the 16 years that Gaynor and I have spent in the House, butI think it is time to take a step back and let some younger blood take over. I shall be part of the committee that picks my successor and will work closely with this person over the transition. I met with the boys at lunchtime yesterday to give them the news and was truly touched by their comments and concern. I shall remain at Shawnigan as a teacher and Senior Master and Gaynor will continue as Director of Admissions and we will always retain a special spot in our hearts for Ripley´s boys but, as of next September, we will not be involved in the daily life of the House.
