Shawnigan Rower Selected for Cambridge

Shawnigan grad Geoff Roth, in a surprise move just 18 days before the famous Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race has been moved into the “Blue” boat–the top Cambridge crew. In a final time-trial Geoff beat out another rower who had been named to the crew.

The Boat Race takes place on April 3. Virtually all of the competitors have significant international experience from World Championships to the Olympics. It gets the attention of a major international sporting event in the UK including a two-hour TV program to show a race that takes less than 20 minutes.
