Rugby – Hosting Appleby
Shawnigan played host to Appleby College on Thursday. It was a great opportunity for several players to get game time prior to our departure for our tour to Argentina.
The Shawnigan boys played some fantastic rugby scoring several trys that included some very good interplay between both the backs and forwards. In the end the boys from Shaw were just too strong for our guests, but it was a great day for all which finished with a barbecue for both teams at the rugby pavilion. It was rewarding to hear the Appleby captain mention in his post game speech how 'classy' our players were on and off the pitch. Man of the Match for Shawnigan was Will T. with his four try performance.
Next up for the boys will be a four-match tour of Argentina.
