Sr. Girls' Rugby
The girls were given a rough ride on Tuesday in Ladysmith and narrowly defeated a much improved Ladysmith team 10-7. The tenacious Ladysmith defense never let down their guard and consistently shut down Shawnigan’s scoring attempts. Matters weren’t helped by the fact that we had to start the game immediately upon arrival without a warm-up of any kind. The girls are not pleased with their performance and are determined to work hard for the next couple of weeks leading into the Island Championships. Shawnigan remains the number one seed in the tournament with an undefeated record. The Island Championship takes place May 14th and 15th at Brentwood College.
