Shawnigan Lake School Regatta
The Shawnigan coaches and rowers hosted the final regatta of the competitive season.
With an increase of over 80 entries and over 1000 athletes, the regatta is clearly becoming a popular event to attend. The regatta unfortunately was cancelled at the end of both days due to the forces of Mother Nature; the wind was a problem leaving the results to be based on the heats that were run earlier in the day. Shawnigan rowers had great results and were really excited with the improvements from the past weekend at Brentwood. A select group will continue to train with their hopes set on the National Championships that happen in St. Catharines, Ontario in the beginning of June.
