Colt A's in Island Finals
Shawnigan's Colt A XV will compete in the final of the Island Championship on Saturday
after defeating a spirited but over-matched team from St. Michaels University School 33-12 on Thursday afternoon.
A season's worth of preparation paid off for the side as they attacked from every facet of play, scoring on a handful of brilliant individual efforts complemented by some excellent team tries. Though the team occasionally struggled at the breakdown, their superior skill and conditioning saw them run out comfortable winners.
The team will now enjoy an off-day before hosting Victoria rivals Oak Bay in the final on Saturday. Kick-off time is 12:00pm on the Canada Field.
