Ryan Panton

Ryan Panton ’97 (Lake’s) brings his youthful enthusiasm and passion for "all things Shawnigan" to the Advancement Office in his role as Associate Director of Parent and Alumni Relations. After completing his studies at SLS, Ryan continued his education at UBC and BCIT. He then began a postion in sales at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world’s largest seller of new and used industrial equipment.

While the unique nature of the auction business made for never a dull moment, when the opportunity to return to Shawnigan came calling, Ryan was quickly convinced to pack up his belongings and make the trek back to Vancouver Island. He and his wife Marita have taken up residence in Ripley's House, where he acts as Assistant House Director to forty-plus boys. Ryan is also an active distance runner who helps out in coaching Fitness and Cross Country whenever his schedule allows.
