Ellie's Story

With my 20 dollars, I bought fleece and made a blanket. I didn’t personally know anyone who needed a blanket, so I went to my neighbour who is the librarian at one of the local elementary schools. When I told her about my project, she knew just the little girl that deserved a blanket. This girl lives in a family of 16 people and because of such a busy household, she doesn’t get enough sleep, so during the school day she becomes very tired. The elementary school has accommodated her and has given her a place to sleep during the day if she needs to. And now she has a blanket when she needs to sleep.
