Kate's Story

I was given the opportunity to use twenty dollars to improve someone’s Christmas. I decided to use the money to purchase ingredients to bake gingerbread cookies. My cousin, Olivia, and I then took the cookies to downtown Vancouver and handed them out to homeless people along Hastings Street. The cookies were very well received, and the smiles on the faces of the people we gave them to made it a very rewarding experience. I would like to thank the School for giving me this money. It was a great idea and I am grateful to have participated in this challenge.
