Airport transport…
Arrangements for drop-off and pick-up at the Victoria Airport must be made with the Transportation Office. Please forward flight itineraries to transportation@shawnigan.ca and we will ensure that transportation between the Airport and Shawnigan Lake School is based on students’ flight times.
(Please note: We are not able to guarantee that a School driver will be available to provide transportation for flights booked out of the Nanaimo Airport. Given the volume of travel, those travelling out of the Nanaimo Airport may need to be transported by the local taxi company.)
Leaving from Ski Week / Mid-Term Break – February 3 - 7
February 3 - Buses will depart from Manning Park (Ski Week) and will make stops at various locations throughout the Lower Mainland, Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and finally Shawnigan. Arrangements can also be made for travel by Greyhound into the Interior of BC. We expect to be in the Vancouver area by 12:00 noon on the 3rd, however, this does depend on weather conditions.

• Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal (not boarding ferry)
• West Vancouver (Park Royal by the Bay)
• Downtown Vancouver (Pacific Central Station)
• Richmond/YVR (Domestic Departures Terminal)
• Surrey (King George Skytrain Station)
• Abbotsford (YXX Airport)
• Delta (Tsawwassen Terminal - not boarding Ferry)
• Victoria (Swartz Bay or McDonald’s on Oak St.)
• Shawnigan Lake School
Please ensure that flights are booked to depart as follows:
Abbotsford Airport YXX (West Jet - 1:45 pm or later)
Vancouver International Airport YVR (2:00 pm or later)
Mid-Term Break (Return to Shawnigan) – February 7
From Horseshoe Bay
February 7 - Students are to return on the 5:00 PM HORSESHOE BAY sailing. The bus will pick-up at the DEPARTURE BAY terminal at 6:40 PM.
From Tsawwassen
February 7 - Students are to return on the 5:00 PM TSAWWASSEN sailing. The bus will pick-up at the SWARTZ BAY terminal at 6:40 PM. Pick up at the McDonald’s on Oak St. (Victoria - across from Town & Country Mall) will be at 7:20 PM.

Leave Weekend – February 25 - 26
To/From Departure Bay
February 25 - Buses will depart from SLS at 3:00 PM for the 5:00 PM DEPARTURE BAY sailing, arriving in HORSESHOE BAY at 6:40 PM.
February 26 - Students are to return on the 7:00 PM HORSESHOE BAY sailing. The bus will pick-up at the DEPARTURE BAY terminal at 8:40 PM.
To/From Swartz Bay
February 25 - Buses will depart from SLS at 3:00 PM, drop-off at the McDonald’s on Oak St. (Victoria) at 4:00 PM, and continue on to SWARTZ BAY for the 5:00 PM sailing, arriving in TSAWWASSEN at 6:40 PM.
February 26 - Students are to return on the 7:00 PM TSAWWASSEN sailing. The bus will pick-up at the SWARTZ BAY terminal at 8:40 PM. Pick up at the McDonald’s on Oak St. (Victoria - across from Town & Country Mall) will be at 9:20 PM.

Spring Break – March 9 - March 25
To/From Departure Bay
March 9 - Buses will depart from SLS at 5:00 PM for the 7:00 PM DEPARTURE BAY sailing, arriving in HORSESHOE BAY at 8:40 PM.
March 25 - Students are to return on the 5:00 PM HORSESHOE BAY sailing. The bus will pick-up at the DEPARTURE BAY terminal at 6:40 PM.
To/From Swartz Bay
March 9 - Buses will depart from SLS at 5:00 PM, drop-off at the McDonald’s on Oak St. (Victoria - across from the new Uptown Centre) at 6:00 PM, and continue on to SWARTZ BAY for the 7:00 PM sailing, arriving in TSAWWASSEN at 8:40 PM.
