Direct Your Gifts
The Headmaster's Fund - A gift to the Headmaster's Fund is unrestricted, allowing the Headmaster to have funds at his disposal to supplement and support areas of immediate concern. Gifts to the Headmaster's Fund are possibly the most powerful gestures available to our supporters, as all students at the School benefit from the fund's utilization.
The Shawnigan Fund – The Shawnigan Fund provides financial aid to current students at the School. In the 2008/09 school year, one of every four students at Shawnigan received some form of financial assistance. The Shawnigan Fund helps ensure the social and cultural diversity of Shawnigan's student body, and is instrumental in allowing students of all backgrounds to experience the benefits of a Shawnigan education.
Named Scholarships and Bursaries - Many of Shawnigan's bursaries and scholarships have been created in honour of the people and events of the School's past that were instrumental in shaping the Shawnigan we enjoy today. They are unique in that only the interest earned on the fund's endowment is spent each year, with the capital left untouched, guaranteeing the permanence of the scholarship.

Major Gifts – The environment at Shawnigan fosters an education that is second to none. You see here many of the beautiful buildings donated by members of the Shawnigan Family. Without these generous gifts, our School would not be the spectacular place it is.
Major and Principal Gifts are received in connection with Capital Projects or for the Endowment. Recent projects include the Olsen Academic Building (a Languages Centre featuring 9 classrooms and a language lab with 25 computers), John Lecky House (a boarding house built specifically for Rugby Canada and other travelling teams), and Marion Hall, our magnificent new dining hall. Program Enhancements – A "Wish List"
Many people have a passion for a particular program at Shawnigan. You may be a parent wanting to support something your child does here, or an alumnus with fond memories for your time in the musical, in your house or on the rugby field. In the past, donations have been made to individual academic departments, to specific boarding houses, to fine art programs and the sports programs.
You may give to a specific program of your choice and your gift will be gratefully received. Some programs have also provided a selection of items that they are most in need of:
