Closing Day

Photos from the June 27th Celebrations

With handshakes and hugs, tears and fond farewells, the 2014-15 Shawnigan school year came to a close.

Beginning with an internal awards ceremony on Friday evening, the School began to pay tribute to students who have stood out for their academic successes, as well as for their character and leadership.

Some notable winners include Yuji A., who earned a 96% average on 10 'AP' courses, and Nina H. who was awarded the Graham L. Anderson Trophy for her terrific tenure as Head of School.

After Saturday's final Chapel Service for grade 12's and their guests, the Shawnigan family gathered under tents in the Kaye Gardens for the Graduation and Closing Ceremonies.

The event concluded with a look ahead to next year, with the incoming School Prefects presented to their peers. Noah C. was announced as 2015-16 Head of School, while Tai W. will serve as Deputy Head of School.
