Cyclo-cross at Shawnigan

Hosting the 'Cross on the Rock'
A sunny day after a week of rain made for terrific conditions for a bike race.

More than 300 riders churned their way around campus on Sunday, as the School hosted the Cross on the Rock Cyclo-cross race for the sixth time.

Four Shawnigan students took part, and there were upwards of 40 contenders in the kids' race.

"Shawnigan Lake School provides a unique experience for the riders," says organizer Ian Craib. "Elevation, distance and terrain make this one of the hardest courses in the series. We look forward to growing the student and staff participation in future events."
