Friendship Cup Report
The Friendship Cup
Shawnigan got in three good games against Cowichan, Kelsey and Collingwood for our pre-season warm-up. The scores were 1-0, 5-1 and 1-0 respectively. Our team is young, with six grade 12s forming our base, but we have lots of talent stepping into the team nicely. They played well in their opening games, but still have work to do to become a more cohesive unit. With the up-coming ISA's next weekend, we expect that the squad will gel more as a team as they get more experience together with our playing system and style.
Our junior team competed in the junior competition at Brentwood and won their side of the tournament.
