National Rowing Championships
Representing Team BC
Four Shawnigan athletes represented Team BC in the National Rowing Championships on Elk Lake this weekend. In the pair event, Senior, U23 and Junior rowers all compete against each other, so it was an amazing opportunity for some of our young athletes to see how they stack up. Liam and Bailey raced three times, faster each time, and gained valuable racing experience from the weekend. William and Travis ended up as the fastest high school pair, finishing 2nd in the junior category and 8th overall! This is an excellent result against the best rowers in the country.
