Provincial medalists
Golf team finishes third at BC championship
On June 7th and 8th, the Shawnigan Golf Team participated in the BC High School Sports "AA" Golf Championship at Capilano Golf & Country Club and came away with a bronze medal.
After day one of the two-day contest, the team was six shots out of third place, trailing Kwalikum Secondary, Collingwood School and St. Thomas More Collegiate. The team's collective score of 320 was a disappointment, and only an exceptional final day would see us into the medals. Fortunately, the boys fought hard in the second round and produced Shawnigan's best-ever Championship tournament round total of 301, with Tristan M. producing a 4-under 68 to tie the best round of the week.
