This year's trip to St. Catharines for the annual CSSRA regatta was a fantastic end to the competitive rowing season.
We spent a week in Ontario, with two days of training before three days of racing. Our first race Friday morning saw the junior boys coxed four win their heat. The win brought great motivation and confidence to the rest of the team.
In the end, Shawnigan ended up making finals in six events. The junior boys just missed the finals, the senior boys 66kg four won a bronze medal, the senior girls 63kg double won a bronze medal, and the junior girls four won a silver medal.
The CSSRA regatta was a great success, and allowed athletes to gain a great experience from this fantastic event.
