Sunny Skies and Great Fun at DHL Golf Classic!

June 3, 2010 proved to be another great day in the sun for Shawnigan golfers.  A one-day reprieve from weeks of rain was a welcome stroke of luck.  A spirited collection of 139 alumni and friends took to the links in what proved to be the largest turnout in tournament history.

Class of 2004 Five-Year Reunion

On August 22, 2009 the graduating class of 2004 got together at the Yaletown Brewery in Vancouver for our 5 year reunion. An event like this is dreaded by most high school grads, but for Shawnigan graduates it's always something to look forward to. We may have matured a little bit since high school, and some of us even have careers now, but the quality of the people and friends we made at school hasn't changed at all.

Largest Turnout Ever for Golf Classic

On Thursday, June 4th, staff, alumni, and friends of Shawnigan descended upon UBC’s University Golf Club to take part in the 17th Annual DHL Shawnigan Golf Classic. A record 126 golfers hit the links for a 1:00 PM shotgun start that featured sunny skies and record-high temperatures, and more than one foursome in strong contention for the coveted gold jackets bestowed upon the winners.  The sunshine came as a welcome change after last year's event was marred by heavy rain - here's hoping future golf tournaments follow suit!
