Victorians! Please plan to join us on Tuesday, March 24th at the Union Club of British Columbia from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Headmaster David Robertson and other staff will be hosting a cocktail reception where alumni and parents will learn about new and exciting changes at SLS by watching a short new video titled “The Shawnigan Advantage”. The Headmaster will give an update on the School and answer questions from our guests. Appetizers and beverages will be served and a cash bar will be available.

“SLS celebrities join Shawnigan fishing venture in the Queen Charlottes”

On Tuesday, January 27th, Shawnigan hosted its annual reception in Calgary, AB. The 70 kilometre per hour winds in the area did not deter the over fifty alumni, current, past, and prospective parents from turning up at the Glencoe Club for a couple of hours of "Shawnigan Cheer." Headmaster David Robertson delivered a rousing "State of the Union" address which was followed by a slideshow of photos narrated by Director of Advancement Stephen Housser '67.

In July 2008, Peter Ericson '85 contacted the Alumni office at Shawnigan to enlist our help in locating a former Groves' classmate. Peter had planned a motorcycle trip to Mexico and was very keen on looking up his old friend Salvador Molina '85 who lives in Celaya, Mexico. After some correspondence, we were able to help these old boys re-connect and eventually they met up in Salvador's home town. Peter sent the following photos and account of their very happy reunion.

Headmaster Dave Robertson and others will host this gathering where alumni and parents will have a chance to catch up on all things Shawnigan. A short new video titled "The Shawnigan Advantage" will be shown which offers a glimpse of some new and exciting changes at SLS. The Headmaster will give an update on the School and answer any questions from our guests.
