House Chapel

Copeman’s and Renfrew Houses lead our service
Grit, determination and perseverance were the themes of a special chapel service on Thursday morning. Showing all three of those qualities were the students of Copeman’s and Renfrew Houses, who have been working hard amidst a busy school schedule to prepare for this service. Following in the Shawnigan tradition of House-led chapel services, these brother-sister Houses organized and delivered a wonderful service for the whole School – the first of the year. Our other Houses will lead services throughout the spring term.

Copeman’s Head of House, Dylan C., and Renfrew’s Head of House, Hallie B., each spoke about the importance of grit, determination and perseverance, giving a few examples of the ways in which they’ve observed and experienced them in their lives – with an emphasis on their House experiences, of course.

We were also beautifully serenaded by the talented Alan L. of Copeman’s House, who played the song “Innocent” from the movie Castle in the Sky on the piano.

Thank you, Copeman’s and Renfrew Houses, for reminding us of the value of grit, determination and perseverance, and for displaying it yourselves in your excellent preparation for and delivery of this service! What a wonderful note to end on as we head into Spring Break.
