Provincial Champs

Repeat in Rugby Sevens

This past weekend the senior boys rugby team competed in the B.C. High School 7’s Rugby Championships at St George’s School in Vancouver.

The team played some outstanding rugby, finishing pool play on Saturday with three wins and zero losses.

They then advanced to the knock-out round on Sunday, first facing West Vancouver Secondary School in the quarter-finals and winning 35-0. This meant that they would then face our local rivals from Brentwood College in the semifinals. Again our boys were too good and too strong and cruised to a 42-0 win, setting up a much-anticipated final against St George’s School. It was an outstanding final with lots of back-and-forth action keeping the fans on their feet. After a great game and the final whistle our boys were crowned B.C. Champions in 7's rugby for the second straight year.

The player of the tournament was Reece T.
