Duxbury / Prep Chapel

Living in the moment
With just a month to go in the school year, Duxbury House is encouraging Shawnigan to live in the moment.

In a combined Duxbury / Prep House chapel service on Thursday, student leaders used the four pillars of Duxbury House to share key life lessons.

On behalf of graduating Duxburians, Head of House Carter M. said "We don't worry what will become of Duxbury, because deep down it will always be the same," pointing to the ideals of honour, respect, integrity, and perseverance.

Another graduating student, Grady B., then recalled his mindset after leaving behind his home in California, using his short-lived regret to encourage his peers to be present for the final weeks of School.

Students from the Prep House took a leading role in the prayers, offering words in an array of languages, while Leo M. left the congregation smiling with his rendition of Josh Turner's Your Man.
