Shawnigan Summer

Day 2: Tuesday. July 17

Lessons, golf and ice cream
Today our English Plus students were sorted into small groups, beginning their intensive studies in English+ public speaking, English+ science, English+ leadership and much more in the beautiful Shaw Science Centre and nearby Olsen Building.

To learn more about the geography and history of the campus while working on their team building and language skills, the students then engaged in a “selfie” scavenger hunt all around the school grounds.

In the afternoon, they headed off campus to hit the links at the prestigious Arbutus Ridge Golf Club in nearby Cobble Hill. Once again, the sun was shining as the students had a chance to take a breather from their concentrated studies and enjoy a relaxing game.

After golf, the group ventured to Duncan for ice cream at Dairy Queen and then came home for a well deserved rest.
