Founder's Day 2018

A celebration approaches

Shawnigan graduates will enjoy a walk through history as the School hosts Founder's Day 2018.

Several hundred guests are expected, as the School celebrates all Shawnigan graduates, particularly those from the classes of 1968, 78, 88, 93, 98, and 2008.

The feature event this year is the anniversary celebration of Shawnigan's 2008 Henley Royal Regatta Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup win. All nine members of that championship crew will be on hand for special races, boat christenings, and an unveiling of Shawnigan's new strategic rowing plan.

Other highlights include a Friday evening alumni hockey game, Saturday's alumni rugby and field hockey games, and the always-popular Performing Arts Cabaret in the Hugh Wilkinson Theatre.

Alumni and guests are invited to enjoy tours of the Shawnigan museum and new facilities including the Robotics Lab and the Observatory. Meanwhile, Visual Arts Director Vikki Agate will host a printmaking workshop in the Hobbies Building.

Founder's Day 2018 is set for Oct. 19-20. For more information or to register for events, please click here.
