Students meet Governors

New levels of conversation

Shawnigan's Board of Governors has opened conversations with the community in advance of this weekend's board meetings and alumni reunion.

A new initiative this year saw board members meeting on Friday afternoon with the majority of the Grade 12 class, discussing topics including girls and leadership, preparing for first professional jobs, the reality of first year university, balancing academics & athletics, business & entrepreneurship, and the importance of building a professional network.

The board also met with Shawnigan staff on Friday afternoon after meetings with students and the School's senior management teams.

Many board members are also alumni themselves, meaning they will enjoy many of the festivities planned for Founder's Day weekend.
