Grad Destinations

131 Students spread their wings
The Class of 2019 is opening doors of opportunity.

This year, Shawnigan's 131 graduates applied to a combined 188 post-secondary institutions in 10 different countries. Ninety-five per cent of grads applied to at least one university, with UVic, Queen's, and UBC comprising the top three destinations.

In total, the group earned nearly $1.2 million in scholarships and financial aid offers.

"Our grads are heading to a diverse array of academic programs, ranging from architecture to viniculture," says Director of University Guidance Craig Brown. "We've got students heading to art schools and varsity athletics programs, while others are heading off to play professional sport or play junior hockey."

We wish you the best, Shawnigan Class of 2019!
