Horne Lake Expedition

Grade 8 Class heads outdoors

Just a week into their Shawnigan careers, 37 Grade 8 students boarded a bus and ventured to Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park.

For two days and two nights, the group enjoyed caving, rappelling and kayaking while sleeping in tents in the great outdoors.

The annual trip is an opportunity for the class to bond as a group while learning about camping, outdoor adventures and the local ecosystem.  The trip also served as a leadership opportunity, with seven Grade 12's leading daytime and campfire activities.

Arising early in the morning, the weary travellers arrived back at School in time for Saturday Chapel and sport.
