Chapel Reflection

Lake's and Strathcona lead a Saturday service

Lake's and Strathcona Houses teamed up to share a message of reflection with the congregation at Saturday's Shawnigan Chapel.

The service included an opportunity for some of the five-year grads in both houses to share some of their favourite memories from their time at the School. Musical offerings also inspired reflection, as small choral groups performed charming interpretations of Ol' Sweet Day by AHI and Years by Alesso.

In his speech, Lake's Head of House Ethan H. gave a nod to his heroes, Scooby-Doo and Shaggy. Like his brothers in Lake's, Ethan says the crime-solving pair often found themselves in uncomfortable situations, but relied on one another and always made sure to reflect on their mystical adventures.

In her time at the podium, Strathcona Head of House Tobi A. touched on some of the lighthearted pranks that she and her Strathcona sisters have staged. "Strathcona has been the birthplace of all of my best memories," she said. "Those will be the memories that will hold my hand as I step into the next chapter of my life."
