Health & Wellness Day

Taking time for health in a busy schedule
Following a long week of midterms, staff and students alike welcomed a change of pace during the School’s annual Health & Wellness Day.

Friday’s schedule offered students the opportunity to drop in at sports activities such as basketball, dodgeball, yoga and squash, enjoy a peaceful hike up Cobble Hill with Reverend James Holland, or take on a Tough Mudder Challenge organized by Search & Rescue leader Mr. Kelsey McDaniel. The challenge included a Tyrolean traverse across an icy Kaye’s Pond.

In addition to engaging in different physical activities, the Grade 10, 11 and 12 classes spent time in informative sessions covering drug and alcohol awareness, cyber safety and healthy relationships.

Everyone was encouraged to leave their cell phones at home for the duration of the day in order to enhance this period of mindfulness and rest.

Following Health & Wellness Day on Friday, students enjoyed SnowFest on Saturday and house outings on Sunday.
