Centennial Founder's Day Reunion & Rowing Festival

Location: Shawnigan Lake School

All alumni are welcome! Join us in celebrating our graduates reaching their 10th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 40th and 50th reunions and help us honour rowing at Shawnigan with the unveiling of the Peter D. Yates Wall of Distinction. 

Schedule of Events
9:30 a.m. — Registration (Main Building)
10:30 a.m. — Chapel 
11:45 a.m. — Lunch (Marion Hall)
1:00 p.m. — Campus Tours
1:30 p.m. — Centennial Rowing Festival & Unveiling of the Peter D. Yates Wall of Distinction 
1:30 p.m. — Sevens Exhibition Rugby 
4:00 p.m. — Alumni & Student Cabaret (Theatre)
5:30 p.m. — Cocktail reception (Marion Hall)
6:45 p.m. — Headmaster's welcome, followed by dinner
9:30 p.m. — Shuttle buses depart

SLS Alumni Rowers:
 
As part of the Rowing Festival, Shawnigan will host the 3rd Annual Shawnigan / Brentwood Duel. We will race our rivals in a boys 8+, girls 8+ and an alumni 8+. We also invite any crew from any year to get a boat together for a ceremonial row-by. We will need to confirm how many boats are needed, so please contact Tim Coy (tcoy@shawnigan.ca) if you are interested in participating. 

Transportation - Shawnigan shuttle schedule for Saturday, October 22:
Bus #1
8:30 a.m. - pick-up at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, Victoria
8:45 a.m. - pick-up at the Fairmont Empress / "Victoria Conference Centre" entrance on Douglas St.
Bus #2
8:30 a.m. - pick-up at the Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa
Bus #3
9:00 a.m. - pick up at the Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay
9:30 p.m. - shuttles depart Shawnigan for above locations
 
Please email Jemima Monro (jmonro@shawnigan.ca) to book your transportation to/from Shawnigan on Saturday. Indicate pick-up and drop-off locations (from the list above), name(s) and number of guests.
