High-quality field hockey and sportsmanship characterized the ISA championship this weekend at Shawnigan Lake School.
Coming off a shootout loss to Cowichan in the Sept. 17 final of the Friendship Cup, Shawnigan's senior girls won their first two games of the ISA tournament before a narrow loss to Crofton House School.
Crofton House would go on to beat Collingwood 2-1 in the gold medal final, while Shawnigan powered past SMUS 3-1 in the third-place game.
Shawnigan's junior girls also provided a positive showing, earning a 6th-place finish overall in the senior-level event.
