Shawnigan vs Canberra

Canberra Rugby comes on tour to Shawnigan.
Yesterday, April 17, Shawnigan's 1st XV played Canberra Grammar School from Australia. It was a very exciting match as both schools are known for playing a wide open attacking brand of rugby. Our boys benefitted greatly from playing 'Grammar' as each team provides different skills sets, in which each can learn from the other. Final score:

2nd XV won 12-5
1st XV won 19-12

Shawnigan has a long standing relationship with 'Grammar' with both schools sending graduates to each other for overseas gap year experiences. Currently, former 1st XV player and SLS graduate Conor T. is at Canberra for a gap year. Next year current 1st XV player Connor O. will be going to Australia for the same experience. Coming our way will be a Canberra graduate who is the daughter of one of their rugby coaches.

We truly value these experiences throughout the year and the long standing relationship we have with Canberra and other International schools.
