June 1 was the last day of 360 (arts and activities) for the 2025-26 school year, and among the students reflecting on their year in 360 was Sofi Fernandez Aguilera, who created this photo essay, a tribute to some of the things she values, and to her 360 program itself, in the digital photography group.
Each Picture Represents
In the first image, we see one of my friends ice skating. I chose this image because I wanted to capture how proud I am of my friend and their dedication to ice skating. Watching them grow, practice, and push through challenges has been inspiring, and I wanted these images to communicate that admiration. Through my photos, I tried to highlight not just the beauty of the sport, but the strength, confidence, and determination my friend shows every time she steps onto the ice. My goal was to let viewers feel the same sense of pride and appreciation that I feel, and to show how powerful it can be to witness someone you care about pursuing something they love.
With the photo of the jellyfish, I wanted to show my love for animals and the fascination I have with the natural world. Photographing this jellyfish allowed me to capture that beauty and remind viewers that animals of all kinds, even the ones we don’t usually think about, are incredible and worth appreciating.
I also wanted this photo essay to show how grateful I am to have my family. Without them, I wouldn’t have had the chance to be here. I wanted to show the joy and admiration I feel for having them. Through these images, I hope viewers can see not only their smile, but the light they bring into the lives of the people around them, including mine.
In the last photo, I wanted to express my love for flowers and the calmness they bring me. By photographing this flower, I tried to capture the small details that make me appreciate them so much, the light on the petals, the textures, and the sense of quiet beauty they carry. This image represents how flowers make me feel connected to nature and remind me to slow down and enjoy simple moments.
My 360 Experience
I also wanted to express how much I love my 360. Being in this 360 has taught me to see the world differently, paying attention to details, light, and moments I used to overlook. I enjoy the creativity it allows and the freedom to tell stories through images. Each project pushes me to grow, experiment, and discover new ways to express myself. Most of all, I love the supportive environment and the feeling of being surrounded by people who share the same passion. This class has made photography more than just an assignment for me, it’s become something I truly look forward to.
