The hunt is on!

Monday, July 6

Today was an amazing experience. We were able to get up close to the lions and watch as they hunt. Unfortunately, they did not make a kill but it was still really interesting seeing the lions up close. It was a weird feeling being the one caged up! All in all it was a great start to the day!

Later on we went to one of the primary schools close by Antelope Park - Mkoba Primary School - and were immediately swarmed by girls and boys half our size. It was as if we were famous - each child wanting to hold our hands or touch our hair.

During break time, they taught us many games although we were not good at the games. The children laughed and smiled as we tried to understand the games. As soon as break was over we returned to teaching math to the students. It was an unforgettable day and I am so happy we were able to go to this school and help!
