On Tuesday, the grade 8 boys rugby team enjoyed a hard-fought match against our formidable rival, Collingwood School from West Vancouver. The conditions were perfect and the boys played very well considering this was the first game of rugby for many of them.
We played three, 20-minute quarters and the team showed that we were committed to tackling on defense and sending the ball wide to the wingers while on offense. There were many good performances today and some excellent tries scored. We look forward to heading to Brentwood on Thursday to play in a jamboree and then to Vancouver on Saturday to play Saint George's.
Congratulations to the boys on their first win of the season!
