Remembrance Day

Shawnigan's annual service

Shawnigan paused to reflect on Wednesday, at the School's annual Remembrance Day Service.

In concert with simultaneous gatherings across the country, Shawnigan students, staff, and guests paid tribute to those who served Canada in armed conflicts across the globe.

In addition to expressive musical performances, the audience was treated to an enlightening message of service from Lieutenant Commander Simon Brown, a current parent who has served for 26 years in the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Navy.

Head of School, Noah Crumb, also read Shawnigan's Roll of Honour, in memory of the 44 Shawnigan alumni who died fighting during World War II.
