Inter-House Fine Art

An array of student works

Shawnigan's finest painters, sculptors and designers are summoning their creative talents.

The School's annual Inter-house Fine Art competition is now on display in the Shaw Centre for Science, featuring sketches and paintings, collages and carvings, models, photos, sewing, and much more.

This year's judge is Ms Tracy Lewis, who is a professional artist, graduate of the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and animation teacher at Shawnigan.

The competition guidelines stipulate that each House must present eight pieces for display, four by senior students and four by juniors. There's a limit of one work per student, and four different mediums must be used.

Judging is set for Wednesday, while the work will remain on display until mid-April.
