Library Orientation

Learning to navigate the stacks

The beginning of a new school year means new Shawnigan students learning their way around campus, around new routines, and around new classes, sports, and fine arts.

Of course, newcomers also need to learn how to use the School's library, for coursework as well as for their own reading.

On Thursday, Ms Sarah Lane's English 8 class was one of several groups to enjoy a library orientation.

Mrs. Judy Lane and Mrs. Gaynor Stroebel explained how Shawnigan's library works, and how to find whatever students may be looking for.

Of course, the highly-anticipated Centennial Library is currently under construction, and is scheduled to open before the end of the current school year.
