Chapel

Focusing on our children

On Saturday, we celebrated the children who are growing up in our community. It was an especially fun service, full of great energy. As we walked into Chapel, we were each given a yellow, felt circle to pin above our hearts. During his sermon, Reverend Holland asked the assembled young children what the circles were for. "They are to shine your love out!" one tiny person exclaimed. The kids added that this could be done be being a friend, or by being kind. It was a simple message, and was embraced by the community. What then followed was a joyful rendition of This little light of mine.

A student from Strathcona House added more joy to our Saturday morning, with her performance of Bless The Broken Road, by Rascal Flatts.
