Shawnigan's indoor field hockey team is nearing the end of the season in excellent form.
Over the past three weekends, the squad has competed in tournaments against club and collegiate sides. Shawnigan finished 3rd at the Hawks tournament, the UVic tournament and the Duncan Under-18 event.
Coach Andi Conroy says after a disappointing end to the fall outdoor campaign, the girls are now earning stellar results against strong opponents, including adult club teams.
The girls will look for strong finish as they wrap up the season at this weekend's BC Senior Indoor Championships in Duncan.
Coach Conroy is also enthusiastic about the progress made by Shawnigan's development team this winter. Composed of mainly juniors, the squad showed well at the Hawks tournament and is poised to graduate several capable players to Shawnigan 'AAA' outdoor program next year.
