Azabu High School
Exchange Visit
Shawnigan bids a fond farewell this week to exchange students from Azabu High School in Tokyo, Japan. We have enjoyed this exchange for many years and value our relationship with this prestigious school.
While at the School, the Japanese students attended Shawnigan classes and took part in sport sessions. They lived in our residences and engaged in many of our activities. They also hosted "Japan Night;" an evening of entertainment centred on their talent, skills and unique culture.
The group enjoyed a tour of the local area, including Victoria, Duncan and Cowichan Bay, capping it off with a sumptuous dinner with their student hosts at Bridgemans Bistro in Mill Bay.

We acknowledge with respect the Coast Salish Peoples on whose traditional lands and waterways we live, learn and play. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in this beautiful region, and we aspire to healthy and respectful relationships with those who have lived on and cared for these lands for millennia.
