Cross Country

The Gut-buster!
On Saturday, April 8th, a group of Shawnigan runners bravely tackled the challenging and grueling Cobble Hill 12 Km trail race, formally known as the "Gut-buster." This event is framed as one of the island's toughest races for many reasons, but mainly because of a 700 M vertical gain, which can be best visualized as the height of the CN tower, plus another 200 M!
 
Quite admirably, our group of black and gold harriers "owned the podium" in both the boys and girls under 19 divisions. Well done! The full results of our team can be viewed here:
