"Together" mobile exhibit

Bringing global issues to campus
On Nov. 13, a 53-foot custom truck housing 1,000 square feet of mobile exhibition space arrived on campus and opened its doors to Shawnigan’s students, faculty and staff.

“Together: An exhibition on global development” is an innovative, multi-sensory, bilingual experience that highlights the work of 21 Canadian organizations that are helping improve quality of life in the developing world. Designed to spark conversations about the role that Canadians can play in reducing global poverty, the exhibition features photography, film and audio and interactive components. Visitors can learn about individuals across the world who are affected by global change and poverty, explore leading-edge solutions to current global challenges and discover more about how they can take action using their own skills and interests.

Since April 2015, the exhibit has travelled 37,000 km through the northeastern US and ten Canadian provinces and territories, welcoming, educating and connecting 65,000 visitors in the process.
