High Marks for Academics

Academic Colours announced

Ms Wendy Woollven presented Academic Colours to deserving students during Tuesday's Headmaster's Gathering.

The School's Dean of Academics outlined the parameters for earning colours, including outstanding academic achievement and effort, as well as engagement, participation, teamwork, and leadership. "Showing genuine interest, working to potential and supporting classmates must be integral to the student’s approach," Ms Woollven stresses. Generally, candidates need more than one year of studies to qualify. Senior Academic Colours are only awarded to grade twelve students, with consideration given to performance in both the grade eleven and twelve years. Junior Colours are awarded to grade 10 students, though exceptional grade nine students may also be eligible.

This marked the second round of Academic Colours for the current school year, with the third and final round to be announced in June.
