Shawnigan's top ice hockey team remains undefeated in its first season of Prep Division play.
The squad made a trip to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho over the weekend, for a trio of regular season contests.
Opening with a matchup against the Pursuit of Excellence, Shawnigan got a strong goaltending performance from Merek P. and goals from five different scorers in a 5-2 victory.
On Saturday evening, a pair of second-period goals from Ben G. was enough to lead Shawnigan to a 4-2 win over Okanagan Hockey Academy's 'Red' team.
The boys faced an early start on Sunday morning, but despite the quick turnaround, Shawnigan earned a convincing win over Coeur D'Alene, outshooting the hosts 44-15 in a 3-0 decision. Merek P. earned the shutout on Sunday, while Kyle B's powerplay goal five minutes into the game held up as the winner.
The squad is now 9-0, heading into a four-game weekend at the Shawnigan Arena Oct. 29-31.
