The mid-term break ended in a bustle for Shawnigan's competitive ice hockey teams.
In Penticton, the Midget Prep squad split a pair of matchups against Okanagan Hockey Academy's 'White' team, before earning a wild 6-5 victory over OHA 'Red' on Sunday. The School's premier team sits atop the CSSHL's Prep Division with a 14-2 record, heading into a pivotal showdown against Burnaby Winter Club on Nov. 14th.
In Abbotsford, Shawnigan's Bantam Prep team finally opened the regular season with losses to Pursuit of Excellence, Yale, and Delta. The group salvaged a difficult weekend with an overtime victory over Okanagan, with John L. notching the winning-goal late in the extra frame.
Shawnigan's Varsity team, meanwhile, played five games over the course of a busy home showcase. After opening with consecutive losses to Edge and SISEC, Shawnigan earned a series of wins over OHA, Banff, and Edge to improve to 7-4 on the season.
