Classroom champs
Some of Shawnigan's brightest classroom standouts were applauded on Tuesday as the School awarded the latest round of Academic Colours.
In her introduction, Mrs. Wendy Milne reminded students that academics remain at the forefront of a Shawnigan education. Those earning colours showed leadership, commitment and engagement in the classroom in addition to taking on the rest of Shawnigan's challenges, she said.
She also touched on some of the comments teachers had made about some of the students honoured — comments like: "A lover of knowledge," "Insightful and bright," "An amazing contributor," "Proactive when away," "A joy to teach," "Dynamic and inquisitive," "Scholarly in every way," and "In it for the love of learning."
