Junior Public Speaking
An evening of eloquence
Promising orators worked the crowd on Wednesday at the annual Junior Public Speaking Showcase.
After performing in their own English classes, 14 of the best Grade 8 and 9 students braved the lectern and a large crowd of their peers in the Hugh Wilkinson Theatre.
Hosted by Andrew B., the evening featured original speeches on topics ranging from food to word pronunciation to the 1972 Andes Air Disaster.
We acknowledge with respect the Coast Salish Peoples on whose traditional lands and waterways we live, learn and play.
